Wedding veils, often not thought through carefully, I personally feel they are just as important to your whole bridal look. , I mean you wouldnt get dressed up for a night out, put on a beautiful dress then coordinate it with odd shoes, I feel its the same when it comes to your veil, Its about getting the balance perfect and nailing those details that will tie in wonderful with your wedding gown
Veil basics:
Its only when you come to try on a veil, you realise what style and length you should go for exactly, its easy to get wrong, you need to think of it like framing a beautiful picture, you don't want to detract from the subject (your dress) you want to compliment.
So with that in mind, lets give you an example:
Bride picks a ballgown with a big tulle skirt, it sits on the brides natural waist. The bride chooses a 2 tier cathedral veil, the result is she looks a little bit like a cloud, simply because of the dimension from the top tier of the veil to the waist on the dress is all too full.,
If the dress had a longline waist or she chose a 1 tier cathedral it would be less full around the middle, giving a more streamlined silhouette
Illusion veils
All the veils I create are illusion veils (unless requested otherwise) made from beautiful, quality, Italian tulle, they feel super soft and lovely on bare skin (a veil should never feel scratchy) they do not hide detail at the back of your wedding gown and offer the best, elegant option
Long lengths
I get more requests for longer veils, than short, and often my brides choose uber long for max impact ! My advise always is with long veils, make sure your veils is around 50cm longer than the train on your gown so you can see where your train ends ,so if your gown has a cathedral veil, you would go with my Cathedral Royale
